These computer system labs will serve to decrease spaces in access to gadgets and the Internet by offering public computer system gain access to for individuals with disabilities, Marylanders without irreversible residence (i.e. unhoused), veterans, and our incarcerated & returning residents. The program offers grants of up to $65,000 for up to 100% for the creation, upgrade, and/or retrofit of computer system labs/centers throughout Maryland.

The financing source for the program is the American Rescue Strategy Act of 2021 and all federal rules needed of the financing use to the program. The Maryland Office of Statewide Broadband is making up to approximately $11.8 million readily available through Link Maryland's Network Infrastructure Grant Program Round 2.

Financing will support tasks that improve broadband transport capability, interconnection, resiliency, redundancy, and long-lasting network scalability. These jobs are planned to reinforce the efficiency, dependability, and sustainability of broadband networks serving locals, services, and public-interest uses throughout Maryland.
